About the Position:
This independent contractor position will be responsible for creative design services for clients. The Graphic Designer will generate the visuals and graphics for analytic and written products that represent the organization's capabilities to the client base and will perform a variety of tasks associated with design projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Support a diverse portfolio of client needs
- Communicate complex messages in a simple and visually appealing way
- Work closely with clients and consultants to ensure high quality output
- Communicate effectively with all clients and internal employees
- Perform hands-on production and execution of design solutions for, but not limited to, infographics, charts, reports, proposals, and presentations
- Develop complex analytics into visual products
- Work to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks without compromising quality
- Actively participate in an iterative design process
- Take initiative and be able to present concepts
- Design a variety of collateral materials including but not limited to 3D rendering and scene visualization, posters, print publications, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently holds an active DoW Top Secret Clearance with SCI
- 3 years of experience with graphic design or visual communications
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and 3D design tools
- Experience producing 3D rendering and scene visualization images
- High proficiency in Microsoft 365 including PowerPoint, Word Excel, SharePoint
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, lettering and typography
- Possess exceptional collaborative and interpersonal skills; dynamic team player with well‑developed written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience interacting with clients when preparing infographics and data visualization products
- Demonstrate a positive, professional image to work productively and effectively with all levels of management and a full range of personalities
- Comfortable working in fast-turn environments
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Willingness to work full time on site (5 days a week) in Arlington, Viriginia, with possible travel for meetings
Independent Contractor Compensation:
This is an independent contractor (1099) role compensated on an hourly basis. The hourly rate range for this position is $50-$90 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and scope of work. As a contractor, you will be responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and benefits. Hours may vary based on project needs and mutual availability.
