Immediate Hire Opportunity
The Township of Rockton is seeking a Snow Removal Employee (Snowbird) who, under the supervision of the Highway Commissioner, will perform snow removal and salting duties on an as-needed basis. This position requires operation of all associated equipment.
The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement or higher, and skill in the operation and maintenance of associated equipment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operation of all snow removal/salting equipment;
- On-call and after-hour service requests based on weather conditions, and responding to citizen concerns;
- Adherence to safety regulations and policies, and compliance with work rules in the performance of duties.
- Inspection and testing of equipment to verify conformance with safety guidelines.
Starting wage for this position is commensurate with relevant experience.
