Multi-Skilled Operator

Summary/Objective

A Multi-Skilled Operator is responsible for the process of molding rubber products for the mining and aggregate industry under the direction of an experienced trainer/operator.

Essential Functions

· Operate rubber press equipment to produce rubber and urethane products

· Assist with part setup according to prints

· Assist with rubber loading

· Assist with part trimming and finishing

· Communicate with personnel across all shifts & departments

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Comply with Quality Control procedure

Metal Prep

· Blasting

· Priming

Shipping/Receiving

· Palletizing completed orders

Typical Education, Experience & Competencies

· High School education, or equivalent

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints

· Able to accurately read a tape measure and other measuring devices

· Familiarity with and safe usage of common hand and mechanical tools

· Ability to work independently or with others, as required by job function

Required Education and Experience

· Must be age 18 or older to work in this manufacturing setting

Supervision Received

Direct Supervision. Receives close supervision related to specific work activities and methods. Initially, work will be reviewed frequently, with detailed instructions regarding the work to be done and how it should be accomplished.

Work Hours

Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5:00am to 5:00pm (work 36 hours; paid for 40)

Work Environment

This position is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this job, you may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration.

Physical Demands

This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
