Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company, a 30 year-old locally owned business, seeks a part-time Catering Sales Associate for its catering division. This person will be responsible for processing inbound catering orders; event scheduling; and client management. Candidates should be detail-oriented and organized; happy in a high-volume, fast paced environment; self-starting; excellent at multi-tasking; and have a good sense of humor. Candidates must be extremely fluent in English, outgoing and enthusiastic about interacting with potential customers and staff. Food-business experience required; catering experience a plus.
This position is available immediately. It is an hourly, part-time position.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering customer calls and web inquiries within the company’s 24 hour deadlines
- Taking delivery and staffed event orders
- Proactively seeking and executing on sales opportunities
- Generating proposals for clients and producing food sheets for kitchen execution
- Keeping the drivers log board up-to-date with events
- Working with catering kitchen and operations team to ensure smooth job execution – for example, ensuring log boards between sales office, kitchen and operations team match, transporting food sheets to the kitchen in a timely manner, communicating with departments to ensure all food items, times, equipment and labor on a job can be produced
- Following up with clients after events to solicit feedback and ensure a happy customer
- Assisting in scheduling delivery drivers
- Adhering to office attire and reporting to work with punctuality
And other duties as assigned.
