Commercial Lending Specialist Team Lead

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY/FUNCTION: Provide operational and management support within Commercial Lending Centers. This position will include a variety of critical management support duties in areas that involve access to confidential Bank and customer information; working with customers, lenders, attorneys and other areas within the Bank. Manage a team of direct reports.

Essential Functions

• Manage, train, coach and coordinate the activities of the Commercial Lending Specialists on the assigned team.
• Approve time cards and requested time-off of direct reports.
• Ensure there is adequate coverage at all times for the assigned team.
• Prepare annual performance reviews of direct reports.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage workflow and priorities.
• Ensure lending center pipeline meetings are occurring to prepare for upcoming workflow.
• Oversee the onboarding of new loans including modifications, renewals and extensions, ensuring all procedures accurately performed including compliance matters.
• Enter required information into nCino/RockFlow, Salesforce, etc.
• Prepare documents such as commitment letters and other required documents.
• Order and track documents required to complete the loan file including ordering floods, appraisals and ESA’s, when applicable.
• Ensure all loan documentation is-accurately executed and collaborate closely with Loan Officers, Borrowers and attorneys to clear any deficiencies.
• Provide technical guidance to and review the work of less experienced team members and colleagues including establishing appropriate work-buddies.
• Ensure each team member meets established goals and objectives.
• Ensure team maintains up-to-date knowledge, and adhere to, all bank lending policies and regulations.
• Prepare reports and manage various databases;
• Process and track all income and expenses information and review monthly reports for accuracy.
• Complete monthly pipeline reports.
• Manage, organize and update relevant date using database applications.
• Management of overdraft report.
• Assist customers on a daily basis with various types of banking needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• College Degree preffered with 5 years-experience in loan administration, loan servicing, loan documentation or credit.
• Basic understanding of commercial loan transactions, including but not limited to real estate loans, construction loans and asset based loans.
• General knowledge of commercial legal documentation.
• Prior management experience preferred.

• Ability to multi-task and use independent judgment to prioritize urgent loan requests.
• Strong time management skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized, with strong organizational and reasoning skills.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
