Retail Staffing Summer Intern

Rockland Trust is hiring a Summer Intern to join our Retail Network Strategy team in 2026. This position is 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct onsite branch observations
• Gather data, provide analysis for staffing recommendations
• Using above data and other resources to develop guidelines for future staffing reviews for each branch (the "what if" scenarios)
• Work with staff model to assign retail branch support team members
• Create a scorecard measuring branch adherence to the staffing model

Required Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Rising junior or rising senior (highly preferred)
• Demonstrate sales and service-oriented personality and maintain a professional appearance.
• Intermediate Microsoft Word skills.
• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills preferred.
• Must be able to effectively interact with other departments as well as internal/external customers in order to resolve staffing issues.
• Applicants must have a genuine desire to work with customers in a caring and empathetic way, with a positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
• Position is responsible for providing excellent service to customers while supplying them with information on a variety of banking products that are suited to their individual needs.

Working Environment:

• Normal office requirements with long periods of standing and continuous customer contact.
• The willingness to work within a flexible six or seven-day work week as customer needs dictate.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Once hired, continued employment is dependent upon successful completion of Teller Training, which includes an exam.
