What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance and Operations position at Rockland Public Schools?
As part of the Central Office Leadership Team, the Director of Finance and Operations reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools and is responsible for the overall Fiscal Management and Operations of the District. Fiscal management includes developing and managing the operating and capital budgets for all general fund appropriations, as well as grants and revolving funds, to ensure they align with the District Strategic Plan and DIstrict priorities. The Director is also responsible for establishing and maintaining all internal controls, compliance with all Massachusetts and Federal Laws regarding procurement, accounting and personnel. Directly supervises all Central Office financial and operational personnel, and activities including all accounting functions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and benefit administration. Responsible for all reports and presentations to various stakeholders, regulatory and auditing agencies. Assists Superintendent with Collective Bargaining and Union matters.
The Director of Finance and Operations shall be responsible for the overall management of Facility Management, Information Technology, Transportation, Food Service, Before and After School and Day Care programs.
Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
