Duties
- Assist experienced plumbers with installing pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding gear
- Support the assembly and installation of plumbing systems on construction sites, including cutting, fitting, and securing pipes using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and ensure accurate installation
- Help with basic maintenance tasks on plumbing equipment and site tools to keep everything in optimal condition
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and general construction tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites or handyman work is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, carpentry, or mechanical systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Comfortable using hand tools (such as wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, saws) safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning about HVAC systems and plumbing installation techniques
- Good basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and layout
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights on construction sites
- Previous experience in construction plumbing or remodeling projects is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
