Imagine being directly responsible for helping the nation grow, to BUILD. Rockland Manufacturing, a well-known, respected, family-owned construction equipment manufacturer with an excellent reputation for quality and on-time shipments, is looking for an Account Manager in the Richmond area.
What You’ll Be Doing:
This is an established position covering heavy equipment dealer accounts in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Our Account Managers are home based and spend 3-4 nights per week on the road visiting customers. This team puts a lot of value in activity and hustle! You’ll work with heavy equipment distribution (Dealers) to service the industry by:
- Retaining, managing, and growing the existing customer base
- Building relationships with key decision makers to create partnerships
- Understanding their business beyond a product level
- Cross-selling and creating multi product solution opportunities
- Selling value through intangibles and services
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years outside sales experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience in B2B Sales
- Motivated by your own goals and uncapped high earning potential
- Able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Knowledge of construction equipment/mechanical aptitude is a plus

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
- Strong ability to build relationships quickly
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management, organization, and planning skills
- High level of hustle, activity, and personal accountability
- Ability to execute a plan with minimal direct supervision
- Comfortable with significant (75%) overnight travel
- CRM experience and strong attention to detail
- Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Experience:
- B2B sales experience
- Construction equipment, heavy equipment, or mechanical aptitude
- Experience selling through dealers, distributors, or branch-based organizations
- Epicor CRM experience
