What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic/Event Manager position at RockIT Event Pros?
We are looking for an individual that would be interested in working for RockIT Event Pros as a mechanic/maintenance. We facilitate events such as festivals, county fairs, company picnics, corporate events, post proms, school events, and more with activities such as inflatables, rock walls, bungee trampolines, zip lines, games, and more. This position plays a vital role in the day to day operations of our organization by maintaining our fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Kearney, NE
Experience: Prefer experience would include knowledge in automotive, diesel, small engines, and general maintenance
Education: High School or Equivalent
Schedule: Monday – Sunday, weekends and evenings required, days off will fluctuate depending on the time of year, peak season is May to September, during off peak season greater flexibility is available to work schedule
Travel: Requires travel mainly within Nebraska with some overnight stays required
Pay: Based on skills and experience; $19/hour to $29/hour

Duties entail but not limited to:
1. Vehicle Maintenance
- Oil Changes/Service
- Tire Rotations
- Yearly Inspections
- Pre-Trip Inspections
- Lower Level Repairs and Maintenance Jobs (advanced diagnostics not required)
- Maintain Vehicle Records
- Create Maintenance Schedules
2. Equipment Maintenance
- Small Engine Oil Changes/Service
- Trailer Tire Rotations
- Servicing Trailer Axels by Repacking or Replacing Wheel Bearings
- Trailer Wiring Issues
- Maintain Equipment Records
- Create Maintenance Schedules
- Cleaning
- Repairing
3. Event Management (All full-time employees must we able to lead events)
- Setup/Tear down
- Layout Design
- Oversee Employees
- Track Employee Hours
- Communicating with Clients at Events
4. Other Duties as Assigned
