SCOPE OF POSITION: The Admissions Specialist coordinates the admissions process of residents/clients for the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. The Admissions Specialist is a vital part of our dynamic team that initiates new admissions prospects, conducts tours of the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for prospective residents, schedules appointments with family/Power of Attorney to gather information for the application, works closely with the prospective resident and their families to address any questions/concerns, and completes all required documentation necessary for their admission (including verifying status of applications with Medicaid). This position engages with outside insurance financial, legal, and medical professionals, organizations, assisted living facilities, hospital discharge planners, and others, and maintains a waiting list for applicants.

- Associate degree in a related field; and
- One (1) year of related experience.
- Previous training in Long-Term Care required.
- An equivalent combination of education, work and experience will be considered.
- A clinical background is preferred.
