Performs difficult skilled human support work involving determining the eligibility of applicants/recipients to receive assistance under social service income maintenance programs. Prepares and maintains files and records, prepares reports and performs other related work as apparent or assigned. Employee in this position is responsible for the administrative and technical supervision of Income Maintenance Caseworker II staff members and Income Maintenance III Lead Workers in the Adult Medicaid Unit. Work is performed under the general direction of the Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services.
Qualification Requirements

Compiles complex data from multiply reports daily, weekly, monthly and as needed to assist in tracking timeliness, error rates, and due dates to determine staffing and training needs
Ensures all required and assigned work tasks are completed accurately and timely, in compliance with all state/federal/county guidelines, policies and procedures
Assists in recruiting new employees; develops schedules; conducts performance evaluations; administer counseling and disciplinary action when warranted
Enters by-weekly payroll; approves leave; reviews and approves day sheets for each worker including lead worker; prepares monthly board report
Completes monthly case and application reviews to meet established guidelines by the state; appraises the training needs and schedules training to improve staff performance; develops a system of performance, setting standards, goals and objectives to maintain timeliness and accuracy; interprets new and/or changing policies and various other directives and information received from the state, regional office and other departments
Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Stooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
