Production Oversight
- Direct feed manufacturing operations, including mixing, milling, and pelleting
- Schedule production to meet demand and maintain efficiency
- Ensure compliance with feed quality and safety programs
Quality Control
- Set and maintain quality standards for feed production
- Oversee quality assurance testing and sample gathering
- Test grain quality and ensure ingredient standards are met
Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
- Assist with capital projects and equipment upgrades
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols
Team Management
- Supervise and train employees on mill production processes
- Manage performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
- Foster a positive work environment and resolve employee issues
Administrative Duties
- Review and analyze production reports
- Communicate with customers and resolve inquiries or complaints
- Preferred- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, feed mill management, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in feed production or related industry
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing processes and equipment
- Understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and manufacturing software
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Capable of climbing ladders and operating equipment including forklifts
