What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stable Hand position at Rocking Horse Ranch Resort?
Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award winning family friendly resort located in Highland, NY, is seeking talented and experienced Stable Hands for the largest saddle horse operation in North America. You will assist in the care and maintenance of our herd of 120 horses and our entire barn facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Daily horse care, including brushing and grooming, saddling and tack maintenance, barn work, and feeding
- Turn our herd in and out daily
- Maintain a clean stables environment, including but not limited to mucking out stalls
- Maintain a fun and safe environment by adhering to all procedures as set by management
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic, adept at multi-tasking, and a true team player
- Physical capacity to navigate around 100 horses and ride in diverse weather conditions, and must be able to lift 50 lbs over your head
- Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license
