What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Cat/Heavy Equipment Operator position at Rocking Horse Ranch Resort?
Rocking Horse Ranch Resort is seeking a Snow Cat/Heavy Equipment Operator to assist with our winter season. This individual will support the Grounds and Maintenance departments as well as other members of the management team. The primary responsibilities will be setting up, maintaining, and breaking down snow making machines and equipment in a safe and productive manner to create the necessary high quality man made snow for the properties ski trails and tubing lanes, as well as assist with snow clearing throughout the property. We are open to part time or full time work availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down snow making equipment.
- Visually inspects equipment, performs equipment maintenance as requested (greasing machines, cleaning windshields, etc.).
- Safely and efficiently operates equipment to clear the property parking lots and walkways.
- Quickly and accurately reports and attempts to remedy problems with the equipment that may arise during operations.
- Assist team with maintenance, repairs and equipment changes.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and facilities.
- Assist in other areas of the Ranch property as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of operating experience with equipment used for snow removal
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions
- Available as weather demands
- High level of safety consciousness and awareness
- Ability to work hard in a harsh, cold environment for extended period of time
- Must be willing to work night shifts
- Regularly lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
