Rocking Horse Ranch Resort is seeking a Project Manager to lead both the ongoing operations on property, as well as the planning and execution of future property enhancements. This senior-level position requires a unique blend of strategic development experience and hands-on operational expertise to support the continued growth and excellence of one of the Northeast’s premier family destinations.
This role is responsible for overseeing all resort infrastructure, including daily maintenance operations, preventative systems, and compliance, while also playing a key role in the planning, budgeting, and delivery of new construction and development projects. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate closely with ownership, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure both short-term functionality and long-term resort growth are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all resort systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pools, and grounds
- Lead planning and execution of construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects
- Manage preventive maintenance programs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Direct contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Align development initiatives with resort strategy and guest experience goals
- Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team focused on quality and safety
- Advise executive team on infrastructure planning, budgeting, and system lifecycle management
Qualifications
- 5 years in facilities leadership, with experience managing large-scale construction or resort development
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and contractor relationships
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficient with maintenance systems and project management tools
- Comfortable working outdoors, at heights up to 70 feet, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays
- CPO, OSHA 30, or similar certifications preferred
- Hospitality or resort experience a strong plus
