Aquatics and Recreation Attendant

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award winning family friendly resort located in Highland, NY, is seeking talented and personable Recreation Attendants and Lifeguards. You will be responsible for assisting guests at our numerous indoor and outdoor seasonal activities, and will provide outstanding guest service to ensure safe, memorable, and fun-filled experiences at the resort. Interested Recreation Attendants will have the opportunity to train as Lifeguards. Lifeguard Training is provided in house. Lifeguard training includes lifeguard skills, CPR certification, AED, and First Aid through the StarGuard Elite program.

Responsibilities

• Manage various indoor and outdoor seasonal activities and equipment including: lifeguarding, mountain tubing, rock climbing wall, bungee jumping, skiing, snow tubing, arcade, etc.
• Maintain overall upkeep and cleanliness of all guest recreation areas
• Proactively address guest needs and inquiries with a sense of urgency

Qualifications

• 1 year(s) customer service experience preferred; a friendly demeanor is required
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
• Ability to work outdoors and on your feet throughout each shift
• Ability to carry or lift objects weighing 40 pounds
• Flexible availability with day time availability during the week; open availability that includes weekdays, weekends, days, and evenings preferred

Additional qualifications for candidates interested in lifeguarding:

• Ability to swim 100 yards
• Ability to retrieve a 10lb brick from the bottom of a 4 ft pool
• Physical ability to perform CPR and other lifesaving skills
