Food & Beverage Manager

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award winning all inclusive family resort in the heart of the Hudson Valley, is searching for a Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all daily food and beverage operations. At Rocking Horse, we cater to families of all ages, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktail parties, and special events daily for all in-house guests. In this role, you will assist in leading a team of up to 100 employees, across both front and back of house, in a high energy dining room serving upwards of 500 guests per meal. 

Responsibilities 

• Maintain a consistent and extremely high level of guest service, ensuring thoughtful service is demonstrated by all restaurant staff
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise and appraise front and back of house personnel 
• Ensure all food, health, and safety regulations are rigorously maintained
• Manage and forecast food and beverage inventory, overseeing vendor relationships and negotiating supplier arrangements
• Exhibit excellence in both front and back of house skills daily

Qualifications

• Several years of managerial experience in the hospitality/food and beverage/bar industry, with experience using a property management or POS system
• High sanitation standards and exceptional attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to adhere to budgets and meet financial targets
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; player-coach mentality required
• Ability to work on your feet throughout the day, and flexible working availability including weekends and holidays
