What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Rocking Horse Ranch Resort and Splashdown Beach?
Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award winning family friendly resort in the Hudson Valley, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. This individual will support the Accounting department onsite at Rocking Horse Ranch, and primary responsibilities include maintaining accounts payable records, vendor relations, and processing check runs for a large volume of invoices. This position will also provide seasonal support to our sister property, SplashDown Beach Waterpark.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve all issues relating to Accounts Payable
- Circulate invoices for approvals and carefully investigate, question, communicate, and follow-up with internal departments to resolve invoice related issues
- Respond to vendor calls and emails in a timely manner, and maintain vendor files and information
- Research discrepancies and outstanding past due invoices for resolution
- Reconcile account statements to credit card charges
- Ad hoc assistance/troubleshooting for the company, which may not be Accounts Payable related
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business a strong plus
- Fortitude to maintain accounting procedures with impeccable attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and with MAS 90 a plus
- Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
