We are seeking a Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator to join our team!

Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides healthcare services to some of the area’s most vulnerable populations.

The organization is looking for a full-time individual to join the Community Relations Team.   The Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator provides administrative and logistical support to the Community Relations Department. This position assists in event planning, donor communication, maintaining and updating the donor database.  Serves as the primary liaison for individuals, partners, businesses, and community members seeking to learn more about Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) or schedule a tour.   This position combines event planning, marketing, donor stewardship support, and community-facing engagement to promote RHCHC’s mission and expand relationships across Clark and Madison Counties. In addition, this role supports RHCHC’s marketing execution across digital, print, and community channels to increase awareness of services, strengthen brand consistency, and support recruitment and outreach goals.

Position Information:

Position Title: Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator

Primary Service Center: Springfield, Ohio (South Limestone Location)

FLSA Status:  Exempt – Salaried position

Work Hours: Full-time position

 

Education Requirements:

 

Minimum associate’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit studies or related field, bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in development, fundraising or administrative work.

Experience managing data, spreadsheets, or CRM systems is preferred.

Qualifications:

  1. Education and/or Experience: Minimum associate’s degree in business, communications, nonprofit studies or related field, bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Minimum 2-3 years of experience in development, fundraising, or administrative work.  Experience managing data, spreadsheets, or CRM systems is preferred.

 

  1. Required Skills: Strong writing and research skills are required.  Must have excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.  Ability to meet deadlines and track multiple projects.  Knowledge of grants, fundraising practices, or nonprofit administration is required. Strong writing/editing skills for external audiences (short-form digital copy and professional donor/community communications). Basic design capability (e.g., Canva or equivalent) and ability to produce brand-consistent materials is preferred.

 

  1. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

 

  1. Computer skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products including proficiency in Excel and other database products. Familiarity with common marketing tools is preferred (social scheduling tools, email marketing platforms, basic website CMS updates, and analytics reporting).

 

  1. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current Ohio driver’s license and an acceptable driving record is required. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position.
