Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing personalized recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators during banquets, catering event functions to deliver seamless service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills, tips, and change, and balance registers at shift end.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, checking expiration dates on food handling items, and reporting shortages promptly.
- Clean up and help waitstaff with cleaning after the event.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant, nightclub, or fine dining environment is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests confidently while managing multiple drink orders simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety.
- Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments is a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for sales transactions, and food industry knowledge are important assets.
