Rockhill Women's Care is seeking an energetic individual to handle receptionist duties for our busy medical practice. We are a full-service OB/GYN practice in Kansas City with offices in Overland Park, on the campus of Menorah Medical Center, and in Lee's Summit on the campus of Saint Luke's East Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and Welcome patients & visitors (in person & on the phone)
- Register patients according to established protocols.
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
- Ensure patient information is accurate.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, transfer calls as required.
- Collect co-pays and payments.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
Required Work Experience, Skills & Education:
- Proven work experience as a Medical Office Receptionist or similar role
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (PC/scanner/fax machine/printer)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree; additional certification a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
- Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred
Starting wage range: $16-$18/hr.
