Job Title: Certified Medication Technician/Aide/Insulin Certified
Reports To: CMT Supervisor and Director of Nursing
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Nursing
Summary: Responsible for accurate distribution and charting of medication administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order all house stock medications, VA medication and supplies
- Monitor all medications for expiration date
- Make sure all medications given and signed off per doctor’s orders
- Make sure all missed or refused medications and treatments are documented in the resident charts and mars and treatment book and QuickMAR
- Keep refrigerator stocked daily
- Make sure that all Personal Care Aides have been given their assigned shampoos and sign off in treatment book
- Keep all cabinets and drawers clean and in order
- Train new CMAs
- Maintain 24 hour log for resident order changes
- Make sure monthly vital signs and weights are completed and charted
- Make sure the list for all people who are out of the facility for 24 hours is accurate
- Follow proper safety procedures and all state requirements
- Follows all state regulations
- Perform all other duties as required.
- May occasionally use cleaning supplies and follow facility safety protocol
