What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandise Internship position at Rockford Rivets?
The Rockford Rivets are seeking an individual to join the team as a Merchandise Intern for the 2026 season. This position is an internship providing hands-on experience in collegiate sports. The Merchandise intern will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Social Media and should be available for all home games, along with any additional events assigned throughout the season. The merchandise interns will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Social Media. This summer internship program runs from mid-May to late August. All interns must be available for each home game (36), along with any additional events assigned throughout the season.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work team store on game-days
- Restock, maintain cleanliness, and organize team store
- Assist in designing and ordering of merchandise
- Manage merchandise and work with merchandise company to ensure product availability
- Organize, facilitate, and fulfill online jersey auctions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate in a creative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for design
- Some retail experience is preferred, but not required.
