Furniture Delivery Driver Wanted
Pay: $20.00–$22.00/hour
Location: Santa Rosa Beach, FL
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9-5 typically, but sometimes you'll need to work outside those hours when things get busy
What's the Job?
We need someone reliable to get furniture from our warehouse to people's homes without any drama — think couches, dining sets, bed frames, the works. You'll be the last face customers see before they get to enjoy their new stuff, so a friendly attitude goes a long way. If you don't mind some heavy lifting and like being on the move, this could be a good fit.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Driving box trucks on your delivery routes
- Loading/unloading furniture — using a forklift or pallet jack when you can, muscle when you can't
- Following traffic laws and just generally driving safely
- Helping customers place furniture where they want it and answering any questions
- Checking items for damage and noting anything weird before or after delivery
- Keeping your delivery logs and paperwork up to date
- Staying in touch with dispatch so everyone's on the same page
What We're Looking For
- Some delivery driving experience — furniture or heavy stuff is a plus
- A clean driving record and valid license (bonus points if you've driven box trucks before). Salary bonus for CDL holders.
- Decent people skills — you don't need to be a people-person, just easy to work with
- Ability to lift heavy things regularly without it wrecking your day
- Comfortable around warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks (certified is great, not required)
- Good sense of direction and can handle your route without hand-holding
- Okay with occasionally working outside the normal 9-5 when it's busy
