About The Role
- Learn and assist with prepress workflow of digital print jobs, including file manipulation, color calibration, and job setup
- Support the printing and finishing of digital print jobs using industry-standard equipment, tools and techniques
- Help prepare finished products for pickup or delivery and maintain quality standards
- Observe and participate in concept development with business area owners for various print materials
- Assist with client consultations to understand project requirements and specifications
- Learn to select appropriate media and substrates for different printing projects
- Gain experience with basic preventative maintenance on print and finishing equipment
- Collaborate with the team and support live projects from start to finish, gaining exposure to the full spectrum of print production
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college/university program related to printing technology, graphic design, or related field
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn specialized software
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver heavy carts
- Previous coursework or experience in the print industry
- Familiarity with digital printing equipment and processes
- Knowledge of graphic design software
- Interest in pursuing a career in print production or related fields
- Interest in learning about print production or visual communications
