We need someone who is very outgoing and loves to interact with adults and children in our store - especially to talk about all the cool and unique soda pop, exotic and nostalgic candies, and fun toys and gag gifts we sell at Rocket Fizz.
Responsibilities
Coaching
- Lead, coach, and motivate through positive, enthusiastic brand representation.
- Holds self and staff accountable for achievement goals.
Accountability
- Display enthusiasm and promote a cohesive group working environment; work closely with others as necessary; support group decisions; display team spirit.
- Must be proficient in product knowledge (having a sweet tooth really helps too!)
- Must be able to work alone or with minimum amount of supervision.
Selling Skills
- Drives brand loyalty by adopting and experiential selling environment by setting the theater in a fun and engaging way.
- Demonstrates selling skills through explaining features, prices, quality, value, and other information. Builds the business through providing the ultimate consumer experience.
Operations
- Ensures all operational standards are maintained.
- Maintains store cash handling records, reports and opening and closing procedures.
- Ensures visual standards are appropriate and support brand image.
- Merchandises displays to visual guidelines.
- Maintain communication with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales.
- Cleaning, trash removal, backroom maintenance, mopping floors, etc.
Job Requirements
- Education: Attending High School, High School diploma or equivalent.
- Years Experience: 1-2 years sales/cashier experience. Also willing to train the perfect candidate with little to no experience.
- Willing to work flexible schedule of days, evenings, quite a few weekends, and holidays. (We are closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day)
- Must be able to use a PC and operate office equipment.
- Standing: While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
- Lifting: The employee is frequently required to walk and lift product in order to properly merchandise it. Must frequently and independently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Pay: $12.00 - $14.50 per hour
