Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and intake procedures
- Collect and document patient health histories
- Perform preliminary physical examinations and vital signs checks
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients about their treatment plans and next steps
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information
- Identify and respond to patient needs and concerns
- Assist in the development and implementation of admission protocols
- Prepare patients for further diagnostic tests or procedures
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional policies
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with nursing practices
Qualifications:
- Current nurse license in the state of AL
- Proven experience in admissions coordination or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to offer compassion and support to patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
