- Certified by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) in Special Education General Curriculum; T-5 certificate preferred.
- Five or more years of successful teaching of special needs students.
- Is exceptionally skillful in guiding academic and behavioral learners.
- Possesses a deep understanding of the IDEA regulations, data analysis, and standard-based instruction.
- Is exceptionally skillful in progress monitoring, compiling eligibility reports, conducting eligibility and IEP meetings, and meeting state- mandated timelines.
- Has demonstrated experience facilitating the growth of new teachers supporting instruction, behavior and compliance with fidelity.
- Must be collaborative in providing quality professional learning for teachers that highlights proficiency in content, instructional strategies, effective communication, and polished interpersonal skills.
- Physical demands position requires standing, sitting, and walking. Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling will not normally exceed thirty (30) pounds, and will normally be in the area of ten (10) pounds.
