Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group support to students with emotional and behavioral needs.
- Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and using de-escalation strategies.
- Support classroom instruction by reinforcing lessons and adapting materials as needed.
- Monitor student behavior and document incidents, progress, and interventions.
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times.
- Promote the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and positive peer interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.
