Medication Technician – Be the Heart of Compassionate Care
Location: Rockbridge Oaks Senior Living

At Rockbridge Oaks, a Thrive Senior Living community, we are looking for a caring, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team. In this role, you will assist residents with their daily medication needs while fostering meaningful relationships built on trust, respect, and compassion.

What You’ll Do – Your Purpose in Action
- Verify the identification of residents to ensure proper care and accurate medication administration.
- Assist with daily living activities and help residents maintain dignity and independence.
- Recognize and promptly respond to residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Document changes in resident condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record residents’ meal intake and report variances to leadership.
- Document and report all accidents and incidents immediately.
- Assist with resident moveins, transfers, and moveouts with care and attention to detail.
- Support community wellness initiatives and collaborate with nursing and care teams.
- Follow all Thrive policies, procedures, and regulatory standards for medication handling and resident care.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.
- Participate actively in team meetings, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your leader.

What You Bring – Your Skills and Heart
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Medication Technician (CMT or equivalent state certification).
- At least 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, hospital, or home health.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications.
- Adaptable, reliable, and committed to creating a positive, residentfocused environment.
