For this position, we are seeking at least 1 year of clinic experience. A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Iowa is a must.
What you’ll Do:
- Treat patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, including post-operative conditions, upper-extremity injuries, stroke, balance and coordination impairments, and other conditions affecting functional independence.
- Address activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, manual techniques, and other evidence-based interventions within the OT scope of practice.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term wellness.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals and community partners.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented clinical environment.
