Our roots are in live events and production, and we bring that performance mindset into every permanent installation we build.The Installation Field Technician is a hands-on role responsible for installing AV and lighting systems in commercial, hospitality, and entertainment spaces. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, understands job sites, and has a passion for concerts, lighting, and live production, or wants to grow in that direction.This role works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Installations and the broader Rock The House production team to ensure systems are installed cleanly, safely, and with show-ready quality.What You'll Do:Install low-voltage AV and lighting systems in concert venues, clubs, hospitality spaces, and commercial environmentsPull, dress, label, and terminate low-voltage cablingMount speakers, lighting fixtures, projectors, displays, racks, and infrastructureAssist with rack builds, equipment installs, and final system cleanupSupport basic system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioningMaintain clean, organized, professional job sitesFollow safety procedures and construction site protocolsTechnical Skills & Interests:Experience with low-voltage cabling and basic construction environmentsFamiliarity with AV systems including audio, video, lighting, and projectionInterest in or exposure to creative lighting design and entertainment technologyComfortable with ladders, lifts, hand tools, and basic power toolsAbility to read basic drawings and follow install plansQ-SYS Level 1 preferred (or willingness to learn and obtain certification)Who This Role Is For:Someone who likes concert venues, clubs, theaters, and live eventsA hands-on installer who wants to grow into higher-level AV, lighting, or control systemsA reliable, detail-oriented team player who takes pride in clean installsSomeone eager to learn, improve, and build a long-term career in entertainment technologyCompensation & Growth:Hourly rate: $23$26/hour (based on experience)Overtime as required by project schedulesPaid training, certifications, and opportunities to learn lighting, control, and systems integrationClear growth path to Lead Installer, Commissioning Tech, or Project Management supportWhy Rock The House?:You'll work on projects that blur the line between installation and live productionbringing the same energy and attention to detail found on concert stages into permanent systems.
