Landscape Technician / Laborer

Rock & Rose Landscapes delivers award winning landscape design, construction, and garden care services, to fine homes throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.

We work 4 -10 hour days per week and are looking to fill several positions for our growing Landscape Installation Team.

We are looking for Skilled Laborers (Technician) and General Laborers Candidates

Skilled Laborer Candidates -- Must have moderate to long-term experience in residential landscape construction, or related construction fields; have one or more demonstrable and relevant advanced level skillsets; able to execute project details with great attention to details and highest level of craftsmanship; demonstrate good judgement, self-starting and willingness to be a tam player.

General Laborer Candidates -- Must have some experience and/or exposure to residential landscape construction, or related construction fields; willingness and ability to follow instructions and learn new skills; ability to execute assigned tasks with an attention to detail and understanding of project components, targets, and desired outcomes; demonstrate good judgement and willingness to work as part of a team.

Work Requirements

• Execute high quality work -- Our teams must accurately perform site layout tasks, identify major and minor elements of each job, work as a team to stay on target for all work and project expectations, including work to be done by other general and subcontractors
• Accurately install project elements -- masonry, concrete and wood landscape elements and features, including patios, decks, steps and walls, and other garden structures. As well as drainage and irrigation systems, water features and low voltage lighting.
• Execute soil work and planting plan -- Basic horticultural knowledge and plant identification will be necessary to lead and perform tasks in soil preparation, laying out planting plans, properly arranging and installing large trees, shrubs, bedding plants, ground cover plantings and sod lawns, as well as planters and vertical garden features.
• Value and contribute to team effort -- Each team member must be capable of working closely with others, take instruction well while utilizing a wide range of necessary job skills. As well, demonstrate the ability to understand project goals and see the big picture as it's described for every project, and show a willingness to contribute to achieving those described goals and project outcomes each day through a commitment to good communication, craftsmanship, and team work.

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-5 years experience or more, depending on role
• Compensation is based on experience, training, demonstrated skills, and ability
• Relevant work in other trades is helpful
• References and language skills will also be considered
• We work 4-10 hour days per week.
• You may be required to drive company trucks and must have a good driving record, valid California Drivers License(CDL), and be insurable (23 years old , 3 years possession of a CDL)
