Job Summary
Rock River Laboratory is seeking a part-time sample processing technician. Job includes receiving and processing feed and forage samples from local farms and cooperatives, assisting with basic sample analysis, and some administrative duties.
Department Responsibilities:
- Receive and prepare samples for further processing by ensuring proper sample information and test requests, assign lab numbers to samples, code samples by sample type, and distribute samples to process.
- Process samples by sub-sampling and drying while prepping additional test requests for wet chemistry.
- Process samples by grinding dry samples through a high-speed cyclone mill.
- Analyze samples through a NIRS instrument.
- Maintain and clean equipment and work area regularly.
- Assist other positions and tasks as needed and time allows.
No night or weekends! Daytime shifts only!
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.75 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
