Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical/dental history review
- Diagnose dental conditions using medical imaging and clinical evaluation techniques
- Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics
- Conduct oral surgery procedures with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to document medical records and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies
- Maintain proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes
Requirements
- Valid state dental license to practice as an Associate General Dentist
- Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques
- Proficiency with dental office management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures confidently
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and medical records management
- Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment is highly desirable
