Door-to-Door Sales Manager

Position Summary
The Door-to-Door Sales Manager at Rock Pest Control is responsible for recruiting, training, leading, and developing a high-performing door-to-door sales team that generates qualified leads and sold accounts for Residential Pest Control and supports growth across additional divisions as assigned. This role owns daily field execution, coaching, performance tracking, and culture—ensuring the team follows Rock Pest Control standards, represents the brand professionally, and produces consistent results through disciplined activity and strong customer interactions.

  • The D2D team consistently hits weekly lead and sale targets with clean handoffs that reduce office and technician rework.
  • Reps are trained quickly, retained longer, and improve weekly through structured coaching and skill development.
  • Customers report professional, respectful interactions and trust Rock Pest Control from the very first conversation.
  • Field activity is tracked accurately and reviewed daily, leading to predictable pipeline and production.
  • Recruiting stays active year-round so team capacity matches growth goals and seasonal demand.

Objectives

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard door-to-door reps consistently, maintaining a steady pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Train reps on Rock Pest Control standards, pitch flow, objection handling, territory etiquette, and professionalism.
  • Lead daily field huddles and roleplay sessions that improve confidence, consistency, and close rates.
  • Execute in-field coaching through ride-alongs and live observation, providing immediate feedback that drives behavior change.
  • Ensure reps generate qualified leads and/or sold accounts that meet Rock Pest Control criteria and reduce cancellations.
  • Maintain accurate reporting for doors knocked, conversations, leads, sales, and outcomes using the approved tracking systems.
  • Enforce compliance with brand presentation, uniforms, conduct, territory rules, and customer respect at all times.
  • Manage rep performance through weekly scorecards, goal-setting, and accountability plans tied to measurable activity.
  • Improve team retention by creating clear advancement paths, recognition, coaching plans, and strong team culture.
  • Identify process gaps from field feedback and assist leadership in improving scripts, territory strategy, and training systems.
  • Represent Rock Pest Control professionally in the community and protect the company reputation in every interaction.

Education and Experience
Initial 90-Day Onboarding Period
The first 90 days serve as a mutual evaluation period to ensure culture, performance, and leadership alignment. Both parties assess fit, commitment, and consistency.
Licensing and Certification Requirements
Any required licensing for sales activities will be supported and must be maintained in good standing. The manager is expected to learn Rock Pest Control service offerings and scope standards to set correct expectations in the field.
Experience
Minimum of two (3) years of door-to-door Pest Control sales experience with at least one (1) year in leadership, training, or team lead responsibilities preferred. Proven performance in a quota-driven environment is required.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk 3–8 miles per day and stand for extended periods in outdoor conditions.
Must be able to work in heat, cold, wind, and light rain as needed.
Must be able to carry sales materials (clipboard/iPad/brochures) and operate a phone/tablet throughout the day.
Must be able to drive between territories and attend field ride-alongs regularly.
