Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction estimates utilizing industry-standard software such as B2W, BUILD, Plan Grid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and other construction management software to coordinate timelines, resources, and milestones effectively.
- Oversee project planning and execution by managing contracts, reviewing schematics, blueprints, and schematics to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project workflows and communication.
- Monitor project progress on-site and off-site, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control measures, and schedule commitments.
- Conduct site visits to assess construction site conditions, review blueprints and schematics, and verify work progress against plans.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports to maintain clear records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize civil design software like Civil 3D for site planning and layout when applicable.
- Assist in the development of accurate construction estimates by analyzing labor costs, material quantities, and equipment needs using HeavyBid or similar tools.
- Support project management activities such as resource allocation, risk management, and time management strategies to optimize project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating combined with strong project management skills in a heavy civil or commercial construction environment.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software including Plan Grid, Bluebeam, AGTEK, B2W, and other construction management tools.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts administration, and construction site safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for clear collaboration with clients, team members, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately to support estimating and project planning efforts.
