What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Plant Plant Welder RU position at Rock Lick Prep Plant, LLC?
- Repairs, installs, fabricates and assembles machinery and structures using the various types of welding techniques, medium, and materials, including the fitting of pipe.
- Can do some layout and design of structures for use in the plant.
- Uses torches and welding equipment in a safe manner.
- Examines areas for fire and hot slags during and after welding / cutting operations are conducted and be familiar with fire fighting equipment and techniques.
- Insures that gas tests are made continuously while cutting or welding in enclosed areas of the plant (i.e. silos, storage tunnels, etc.)
- Must be able to weld in vertical, horizontal and overhead situations.
- Must be able to use various types of welding equipment.
- Must be familiar with the types of metal and associated welding medium
