What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spring-Up Stager position at Rock House Farms (RHF)?
Position Summary:
Position is responsible for ensuring the Spring-Up department has a steady supply of work available by lining up the work, pushing frames and monitoring production supply line.
Position Details:
- Load frames into the holding area ahead of spring-up, making sure that the spring-up department has a steady supply of work available. Communicate frequently with lead person over frame assembly and finishing in coordinating the movement of product out of these areas.
- Store each sprung-frame in an orderly fashion in staging area until cover is available to pair up with frame.
- Assist spring-up lead person with storage of supplies and supply materials to spring-up work benches as needed.
- Match sewn covers with completed frames from the spring-up department, load on the conveyor belt, and send upstairs. Match factory order number of cover to frame on all exposed wood product.
- As product is being moved through the spring-up department, any quality problems noted in the frame, finish, or spring-up should be pointed out to the spring-up lead person.
- Transport any finishing, frame assembly, or spring-up repair work from upstairs down the belt and return to the appropriate area for correction.
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or practices to the Supervisor.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous staging experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for full 9 hour shift
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 75 lbs.
