What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sprayer Trainee position at Rock House Farms (RHF)?
Summary Job Description:
This position is responsible for shadowing an experienced sprayer during a six month trainee program.
Essential Duties:
- Ability to learn to spray even coats of finish, stain, paint, or lacquer on assembled cases.
- Visually inspect for runs of material
- Learn to fill and adjust equipment as needed
- Learn to read formulas and color panels
- Loads the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order.
- Occasionally attaching tall cases and bed frames to pallets
- Observes plant safety rules while also keeping work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications:
Position Requirements
On completion of six month program, this position should be able to meet the following requirements:
- Read and understand finishing schedule
- Have the ability to set up finishing equipment 'pumps'
- Have the ability to spray fillers, glazes, and wash coat all at a quality level.

Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours

Must be able to step up and down on conveyor. Must be able to climb up and down a ladder. Must be able to bend and stoop to spray under tables and cases.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
