What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rough End Machine Operator position at Rock House Farms (RHF)?
Position Summary
Position responsible for setting up and running various woodworking machines to produce casegoods stock.
Position Details
- Sets up and operates various woodworking equipment, including but not limited to cutoff saw, ripsaw, bandsaw, and planer
- Identifies appropriate wood species such as maple, ash, mahogany and walnut
- Sets up and operates auto glue reel & hand operated glue reel
- Uses tape measure to verify accurate measurements of the wood
- Travels to lumber yard as needed
- Follows all safety policies & procedures
Qualifications:
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous Rough Mill Machine Operator experience preferred
- Must be able to read Route Sheets
- Must be able to read a ruler
- Must be able to set up & run various woodworking machines
