Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Assistant role based in Farmington, UT. The Dental Assistant will support dental providers during examinations and procedures by preparing treatment rooms, arranging instruments, and assisting chairside. Daily tasks include welcoming patients, updating medical and dental histories, taking and processing dental x-rays as permitted, and providing clear pre- and post-treatment instructions. The role also involves maintaining strict infection control standards, sterilizing instruments and equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment. The Dental Assistant will help with scheduling, documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed and collaborate closely with the dental team to deliver efficient, patient-focused care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside support and patient preparation.
- Knowledge of Dental Care, Dentistry, and Oral Care practices to assist in routine and specialized procedures.
- Ability to perform and maintain proper Sterilization and infection control protocols in a clinical setting.
- Relevant dental assisting certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow clinical guidelines and safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for managing electronic records, scheduling, and documentation.
- Current CPR certification and eligibility to meet state regulatory requirements for dental assistants in Utah.
