Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring they adhere to school rules and policies
- Manage student behavior through effective conflict management and behavior management techniques
- Support students with special education needs and those with physical disabilities to promote inclusive participation
- Enforce safety procedures, including transportation safety protocols for early childhood general education students
- Assist with classroom transition activities and ensure smooth evacuation procedures in case of emergencies
- Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents regarding behavioral expectations and safety concerns
- Maintain a positive environment by encouraging respectful interactions and fostering social skills among students
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or in a childcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of school policies, evacuation procedures, and behavior management strategies
- Certification or training in first aid is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally
- Experience supporting students with special education needs or behavioral challenges is a plus
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist in maintaining a safe environment
