Minimum Qualifications:
SC certification in Generic, Multi-categorical, or LD required with a strong GPA in relevant course work
Experience with teaching special education students preferred
Enthusiasm for teaching disabled students
Exceptional knowledge of the needs of special students
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques
Skill interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general public
Willingness to work with all staff members in promoting school wide programs
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 190 days
Starting Date: 2024-2025 School Year
