What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Aide position at Rock Hill School District 3?
Reports To: Transportation Department Administration
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required
Must be able to work 6:00 – 9:00 a.m. and 1:45 – 4:45 p.m.
Interest in and ability to work with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
Physical ability to lift up to 130 lbs.
Ability to maintain discipline with all age groups
Effective communication skills with school staff and students
Ability to clean bus/equipment as needed
Ability to perform simple child hygiene as needed
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report

Application Requirements
Applicants must submit official transcripts, three professional references with at least one Page 3 of 3 supervisory reference and a copy of the appropriate credentials as part of the application process.
Pre-Onboarding Requirements
As a condition of employment and prior to onboarding, the district will conduct a criminal history background check. The recommended candidate will be required to provide personal information necessary to complete the background check such as date of birth, gender, and race to remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
