Description

Residential Support Specialist is responsible for supporting residential staff in enhancing performance and service delivery, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and promoting continuous professional development. Key responsibilities include monitoring staff performance, conducting audits, assisting with staff training, and supporting crisis management. The role also involves collaborating with clinical, administrative, and management teams to improve the quality of care for adolescent residents and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory policies. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to assess and improve staff practices.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with residential staff to identify and implement performance improvement strategies.

· Assist in developing and executing performance improvement plans for care delivery, safety, and staff engagement.

· Conduct audits and track performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvements.

· Support staff training on best practices, safety protocols, and performance standards.

· Monitor compliance with safety protocols and conduct safety audits.

· Work with staff to enhance resident care and support therapeutic goals.

· Collect data on staff performance, safety incidents, and overall facility outcomes.

· Foster collaboration across teams to enhance residential treatment experiences.

· Provide crisis intervention support and assist with de-escalation training.

· Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts within the facility.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.

· Prior experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, or similar environment preferred.

· Experience in performance improvement, quality assurance, or data analysis is a plus.

· Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in documentation, data collection, and reporting software.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and engage in physical activities as necessary.

· Capability to assist residents or staff in emergency situations.

· Maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring professional conduct.
