Essential Functions:
• Provide trauma informed supervision and oversight to ensure delivery of developmentally appropriate services consistent with NC service definitions.
• Model trauma-informed leadership by fostering a predictable, safe, and supportive environment for youth and staff.
• Monitor clinical interventions to ensure alignment with trauma-informed care principles, including safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration.
• Collaborate with licensed clinicians, psychiatric providers, and care managers to coordinate services and monitor clinical progress.
• Ensure daily routines, rules, and expectations are developmentally appropriate and trauma-responsive.
• Advocate for youth voice, choice, and participation in treatment planning and daily programming.
• Identify secondary traumatic stress in staff and support wellness and burnout prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with NC DHHS, DHSR, and Joint Commission standards applicable to Level III group homes.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and youth behavioral health systems
• Working knowledge of NC DHHS, Health Blue requirements
• Ability to assess placement appropriateness and clinical necessity
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases across multiple sites
• Professional judgment, advocacy skills, and ethical decision-making
• Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications:• Master’s degree required
• LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in behavioral health, mental health, or child welfare.
