Role And Responsibilities
The RN provides specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventions.
Responsibilities include assessing patients pre-procedure, assisting with device placement, operating hemodynamic equipment, monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms, supporting post-procedure recovery, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and infection control standards.
Effective communication with team members, patients, and families is essential, along with adherence to regulatory protocols.
Qualifications And Skills
Minimum one year recent Cath Lab RN experience, valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
Preferred PALS Or ENPC, RCIS Certifications.
Must have critical thinking, strong interpersonal, technical, and physical abilities, with excellent communication skills and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.
Key Duties
Conduct patient assessments, assist during procedures, operate monitoring equipment, support recovery, troubleshoot lab equipment, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
