Role Overview: Responsible for acquiring high-quality diagnostic radiographic images to support patient care in the Radiology department.
Key Responsibilities: Produce accurate radiographs for various exams, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards. Prepare equipment, supplies, and rooms for procedures, and assist physicians as needed. Interview patients, explain procedures, obtain medical history, and monitor for adverse reactions to contrast materials. Complete documentation, manage equipment maintenance, and perform quality assurance checks. Transport patients, communicate with healthcare providers, and participate in departmental quality improvement programs.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program or equivalent education recognized by ARRT. Certification in Radiography (R) within 3 months and Texas MRT certification within 6 months. Current Healthcare Provider CPR. Skills in time management, organization, communication, and knowledge of radiologic equipment. Demonstrates patient-centered behaviors and teamwork.
Additional Duties: Maintain professional growth, serve as a resource and role model, and potentially supervise departmental operations.
